Opening Summer of 2020
Located in Twin Falls’ Historic Warehouse District, the 94-year-old former machining building is being gutted and remodeled to develop Idaho’s first food hall. The 27,000 square-feet of indoor and outdoor space will feature several indoor food vendors and fenced outdoor area for community and private events, music, Saturday pop-up markets, additional seating and other amenities – all designed in an open space, community concept.
Welcome to Idaho's First Food Hall
2nd South Market is an exciting new development in Twin Falls’ Warehouse District, the first food hall to open in Idaho. 2nd South Market will be housed in a 94-year-old building, bringing a unique dining experience to Twin Falls where people can connect in an open seating concept, ideal for those diners interested in physical distancing.
The historic building is being gutted and remodeled to expose original wood ceilings, windows and doors. The 13,000-square-foot indoor space will house several food vendors in a large open space concept including a bar that will be built with repurposed original wood and feature Idaho craft beer and wine. The 14,000-square-foot outdoor fenced space, The Yard, will be open during summer and fall for Saturday open-air markets, additional outdoor seating, private events, Saturday vendor pop-ups, a stage for live music, corn hole games and other amenities.
2nd South Market owners Dave and Lisa Buddecke are proud to be working with local team members to bring the food hall concept to Twin Falls and Idaho: Creative Carpentry, Laughlin Ricks Architecture, Brizee Heating & Air Conditioning, Bennett Plumbing, CG Electric, and MSVM Group.
2nd South Market will be the first Opportunity Zone project to open in Idaho and is the state’s third Opportunity Zone investment. Opportunity Zones were established in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to encourage long-term investment in low-income communities through tax breaks.
